Traders aren’t ready to bust out the champagne just yet, but over the course of the past three months, Indian stocks have quietly staged a comeback, outpacing most of their Asian peers.
Analysts told beyondbrics that a combination of India severely under-performing in the first six or seven months of the year, along with the market’s realization that the country may finally be nearing the end of a 19-month monetary policy tightening cycle is lifting sentiment in equity markets and bringing cash back into Asia’s third-largest economy.
